The Silent Superstars: How The Men with Pans Redefined “Kitchen Percussion” on AGT
Just when the judges thought they had seen every possible iteration of a comedy act, “The Men with Pans” walked onto the America’s Got Talent stage to prove that culinary tools can be instruments of high-stakes hilarity. Clad in nothing but aprons and chef hats, this duo from the UK brought a “bare-bones” approach to entertainment that left the audience—and a very red-faced Heidi Klum—alternating between laughter and genuine suspense.

The act is a masterclass in physical comedy and split-second timing. To the beat of high-energy music, the duo performs a choreographed routine where they swap, flip, and shield themselves with nothing but metal frying pans. The “catch”? They are seemingly naked behind those pans. Every move is a high-risk gamble; one mistimed flip or a slip of the wrist would reveal far more than the FCC allows on primetime television. It was a performance that relied entirely on the duo’s chemistry and their ability to keep the “reveal” just out of sight.
The reaction from the panel was a mix of total shock and infectious joy. While Simon Cowell initially looked skeptical, he was quickly won over by the sheer absurdity and technical skill required to pull off such a “cheeky” routine. Howie Mandel praised the originality, noting that it was the kind of act you simply can’t look away from. With four enthusiastic “yeses” and a standing ovation from a crowd that was both scandalized and delighted, The Men with Pans proved that sometimes, the best way to spice up a show is with a bit of “pan-demonium.”
