Malambo is a traditional, fast-paced Argentinian folk dance traditionally performed by gauchos, emphasizing complex, rhythmic footwork, pounding drums, and swirling lassos (boleadoras). The second Legión’s music dropped, they completely electrified the auditorium. Striking the stage in unison, the troupe combined precise, thunderous step-dancing with synchronized drumming and whipping elements. Just when the panel thought the routine couldn’t get any more intense, the men lit their own boots on fire, stomping out blinding rhythms in a blazing, jaw-dropping display of extreme pyrotechnics and precision.
The judges were left entirely breathless. Heidi Klum marveled at the sheer spectacle, pointing out that while AGT has hosted countless dance groups over the years, “their feet have never been on fire!” Howie Mandel immediately envisioned the group headlining their own residency in Las Vegas.
