Walking out with a sweet demeanor, Corkey immediately grabbed everyone’s attention by listing her absolutely massive household of pets. She revealed that she lives with six dogs, three cats, two sugar gliders, a serval cat, a Siberian Lynx, two horses, a donkey, and remarkably, 23 trained rats. She perfectly capped the list with a deadpan, “I’m single, go figure,” which instantly won over the room.

However, the sweet, animal-loving persona quickly took a hilarious turn as Corkey transitioned into her stand-up material. She started poking fun at her experiences as an older woman trying to navigate modern technology. Corkey explained how she recently tried to learn how to needlepoint and spent time with friends at the library, but admitted she still hasn’t fully mastered the internet.
The highlight of her set came when she warned the audience about the extreme dangers of predictive text. Corkey explained that she accidentally started a Google search with the first two words “nine inch,” and before she knew it, the search engine took over. She hilariously noted that she saw things she can simply never unsee. She went on to complain about how those online targeted ads followed her everywhere, leading her to accidentally click on an online ad for an “adult coloring book.” Her pure, innocent confusion about what she actually found inside that book left the entire crowd and the judges roaring with laughter.
The panel was absolutely charmed by her authentic stage presence. Heidi Klum and Sofia Vergara praised her for being incredibly likable, genuine, and authentic, noting that her material feels like a funny conversation with an old friend. Simon Cowell admitted he loved the contrast between her sweet animal stories and her edgy internet jokes. Corkey effortlessly swept the board, earning four enthusiastic “Yeses” and moving on to the next round.
